School Birthday Celebration
Hai, Kala is here. This is my first time writing this blog using English. Actually, I'm not really confident with my English but I thought as long as you understand what I mean, it's already enough for me. So, pardon for any grammatical error and let's dive in!
Last Friday, my school was celebrating it's 58th birthday with a sport tournament and festival. This is my first year in Taiwan's high school so I don't really know what will happen or even what to expect. And actually it's been two years since they last celebrated it so it's kinda heat up the mood. We'd been practicing for the ceremony a week before it released.
Long story short, we finally at D-day when the weather was hot, too hot for most of us comparing that the last few days, it's been raining all noon. First, we have performances from both Performing Art Major and the first grader (except us, we don't have to perform). It's quite nice to see the real one when you already saw the practice over and over.
After that, there is an introduction of every major in my school. There's a lot, really but I highlighted some of the most interesting one. And actually, I enjoyed it a lot since most of them didn't wear costume when we practiced. So, when they actually wore it, you can see what were they trying to say. First one is from Beautification Major. Our school is knowned for its Beautification Major and the teachers said our school's beautification is the best on the entire Taiwan. Don't ask me if this is true or not¯\_(γ)_/¯
But I admit they didn't joke about it. Like their beautification for high school is on another level. Much different level even for me whose in the same major but different programme.
The next one, of course from the Performance Art Major. We all have higher expectation from them among the others. They should perform, right so if they don't do it right, it would be a shame for theschool. And yeah, they took it seriously. We all enjoyed it so much until we didn't know which one to see because the formation was complex and interesting.
Last one is from ours, the Chinese Overseas. I had seen that some of my friends had been practicing in school time just to prepare this dance. It's a pity we only saw their back, because they showed it to the higher ups. Straight forward said, I only saw their butt, okay? My friend said the dance teacher is Vietanamese so most of the dance move is taken from Vietnam's dance. It's an unfortunate thing because it didn't resemble the other country.
After that, we have a relay run and other competition that my class didn't join just because our class students are lesser than the other classes. And without being said, we lost respectively. The most fun part was of course in the end of the day where the second grader sold food. If you can find the perfect stall, they actually sold it pretty affordable.
The tips would be always buy on the last minute before it ended because at that time, they would sold in a very cheap price. I bought two bags fruit peeled and a bag of idk what, but it's delicious for only 20NT. Nice deal, isn't it?
